We're in Vernon, TX and done for the day. Wind 24017G24 shifting to more out of west. Too much work for such little gain. Denny here at Wilbarger Co has been great to us. Recommend this stop.
We are very sorry that you guys were not able to visit us at Mid Valley Airpark, but we will be seeing you soon at Monument Valley.
Tomorrow, Mike will be flying the S-18 to Blanding, UT tomorrow and doing a "musical airplane" thing - leaving the S-18 in our Blanding hangar. At least that's the plan. Since we are outside the "no-fly" zones, we can depart E98, but Mike has to call a special clearance number tomorrow to get a squawk for the transponder. Hopefully that will work.
He then plans to fly the Rebel back here tomorrow afternoon. The Rebel is in our hangar at Blanding with our Airstream motorhome.
Friday morning, we will fly our fast plane - the Glasair III, to Blanding. Then I will drive the motorhome and Mike will fly the S-18 over to Monument Valley to join everyone. I have reservations for an RV site at Gouldings.
Saturday evening we will go back to Blanding for the evening and Mike will fly me back home in the Glasair and turn right around and fly back to Blanding. And one more exchange of airplanes will take place. He will pick up the S-18 and fly over to MV to join you guys for the Oregon adventure.
Hopefully, this is not too confusing - almost need a block diagram or flowchart (sorry I am an engineer and can't resist). Do we have too many airplanes - NO, we don't! Never can have enough airplanes or flying!
Too bad we didn't get to show you our fleet, but maybe next time.
Have a great flight to MV & we will see you there on Friday!
